At the moment I am working on a project who uses VMWare ESX. It is quite nice, although it is just ‘Linux’, with some VMWare stuff built in.
The hardware to play with is also quite nice, it is an IBM x3800 with 4 dual core Xeon cpu’s (at the moment Hyperthreading is disabled) 
So I have a lot of fun
